On May 16, Jiangsu Consumers Association organized a comparative test of 173 batches of reading and writing desk lamps. The samples were purchased from physical stores and online stores (Tmall, JD and Suning.com). The test content involved power line length, shading, color temperature, color rendering index and photometric requirements, with a total of five technical indicators.


The test results show that only 3 batches meet the requirements of the above five technical indicators, and 98% of the test samples have technical indicators that do not meet the standards; More than 80% of desk lamps have excessively high color temperatures, which may affect visual health.

Over 80% of desk lamps have been detected to have a high color temperature


The inspection results of 173 batches of samples showed that only 38 batches with a power cord length of 1.8m were found to be unqualified, with over 80% being unqualified; There are 84 batches of desk lamps with a central area illumination level of less than A (250lx), and 20 batches of desk lamps with a central area illumination level of less than 100 lx, with nearly 50% of them failing.
